JARED GOLDBERG, THE MASTER’S UNIVERSITY
- Goldberg, who is in his fourth season as the head men’s volleyball coach at The Master’s University, picks up his first National Coach of the Year award.
- His team enters the NAIA Championship at 23-2 with a 14-match winning streak, which is the longest in program history.
- He has recruited and coached two AVCA National Players of the Year, three AVCA NAIA first-team All-Americans, and four second-team All-Americans during his four years at The Master’s.
- The Mustangs earned the GSAC regular-season and tournament titles this season, after winning the tourney in 2023.
- Goldberg’s career record at The Master’s, heading into the 2024 NAIA tournament, is 58-25.
- He is the son of former legendary American University women’s volleyball coach, Barry Goldberg.

WELLINGTON AFUSIA, OTTAWA UNIVERSITY, ARIZONA
- Afusia is finishing up his fifth season as an assistant coach with the OUAZ men’s volleyball team.
- He works with many areas of the program including recruiting, player development, and scouting.
- The Spirit finished the 2024 regular season with a 19-5 record and earned an at-large berth to 2024 NAIA National Championship as the fourth seed overall.
- Afusia helped three players from this year’s squad earn AVCA NAIA first-team All-America honors, as well as first-team all-GSAC honors.
- He was also the 2022 AVCA NAIA Assistant Coach of the Year recipient.
