Division III Men’s Coach of the Year

DAN BUEHRING, STEVENS INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY

• Buehring is in his fourth season as the head men’s volleyball coach at Stevens.
• His team enters the semifinals of the NCAA Championship at 33-1, riding a 30-match winning streak—believed to be the longest in program history.
• The Ducks are seeking back-to-back national titles, after winning the program’s second Division III championship in 2023.
• After the last weekend’s NCAA regional, he had a 108-12 record at Stevens to boost his career mark to 196-65.
• That record includes the Ducks’ three-consecutive seasons of winning at least 30 matches.
• During that same stretch from 2022 to 2024, he has coached six Division III first- or second-team All-Americans.
• A three-time MAC Coach of the Year, he earns AVCA Division III Coach of the Year honors for the first time and becomes the school’s inaugural national honoree.

Division III Men’s Assistant Coach of the Year

JOHN BREEN, ENDICOTT COLLEGE

• Breen just completed his sixth season as an assistant coach with Endicott men’s volleyball.
• He works with many areas of the program: scouting, player development, specializing with setters.
• This year, he took on additional responsibilities, filling in for Head Coach George Chapell, who stepped away mid-season for health reasons.
• The Gulls finished the 2024 campaign with a 13-12 record and a 5-2 mark in New England Volleyball Conference play.
• Breen helped four players from this year’s squad earn All-NEVC first- or second-team all-conference honors.
