The AVCA and Taraflex® are excited to partner on a new program that is providing AVCA memberships to a group of high school volleyball coaches.
“Taraflex is committed to supporting volleyball coaches,” says Jeff Krejsa, Managing Director of Gerflor USA. “In partnership with the American Volleyball Coaches Association, we are offering 100 high school coaches a fully paid, one-year AVCA membership. This initiative underscores our dedication to advancing the sport and supporting coaches who play a vital role in developing young talent.”
The program came about as a way for Taraflex to celebrate the installation of its 100th court, which was added to the University of Tennessee’s Food City Center recently. In keeping with the theme, the company is funding the 100 memberships to coaches who have been selected by the AVCA. It is expected that Taraflex will fund this initiative in future years.
“We are grateful that Taraflex is continuing its holistic support of volleyball by providing these up-and-coming leaders of our sport with AVCA memberships,” says AVCA CEO Dr. Jaime Gordon.
The scholarships are going to coaches in four areas of the country—Tennessee, Kentucky, New York City, and Detroit—based on a desire to expand relationships in these volleyball communities.
