The AVCA is excited to name its 2025 Division II Women’s Volleyball All-Region teams and award winners.
There are 14 All-Region team members and six honorable mention selections for each of the eight Division II regions. Additionally, a Player of the Year, Freshman of the Year, and Coach of the Year were selected for each region.
The 160 student-athletes who earned All-Region honors represent 85 different schools. Adelphi University and Wingate University lead the way with five All-Region honorees, followed by Bentley University, the University of Tampa, and Wayne State College (NE), who have four players each.

2025 AVCA DIVISION II REGION COACHES OF THE YEAR
The following coaches have been selected as this year’s AVCA Region Coaches of the Year. Each of the honorees can be considered for the AVCA National Coach of the Year, and the awards will be presented at the Thursday luncheon Dec. 18 in Kansas City during the 2025 AVCA Convention.
ATLANTIC REGION COACH OF THE YEAR
Patricia Melfy, East Stroudsburg University
2025 Record (as of Dec. 2): 26-5
Melfy has enjoyed a banner campaign in her fifth season at East Stroudsburg. Her 2025 team enters the NCAA Championship with a 26-5 record having won 14 matches in a row and having earned the PSAC regular-season and tourney titles. This year’s team is only the second Warrior squad in the past 20 years to win at least 25 matches.
CENTRAL REGION COACH OF THE YEAR
Jessica Fey, Missouri Western State University
2025 Record (as of Dec. 2): 21-7
Fey has made her fourth season at Missouri Western a memorable one. Her squad put together a 12-match win streak from early October to early November that included wins over No. 4 Central Oklahoma and No. 2 Washburn. When the Griffons moved up to No. 16 in the Nov. 10 AVCA Division II Poll, it marked the program’s highest-ever ranking.
EAST REGION COACH OF THE YEAR
Joey Pacis, Bentley University
2025 Record (as of Dec. 2): 24-4
Pacis and the Falcons continued the momentum of last year’s NCAA semifinal run, and they enter the 2025 NCAA Championship with a 24-4 record. He led the team to the Northeast 10 regular-season and tourney titles, and they were unbeaten in league play for the first time since 2005. In September, Pacis earned his 200th win at Bentley.
MIDWEST REGION COACH OF THE YEAR
Ryan Young, University of Missouri-St. Louis
2025 Record (as of Dec. 2): 26-4
Young picks up his third Region Coach of the Year honor in the past four seasons following another banner year for the Tritons. His 2025 team brings a 19-match win streak into the NCAA Championship after running the table during the GLVC regular-season and tournament. He picked up his 300th career coaching win Oct. 24.
SOUTH REGION COACH OF THE YEAR
Brian Imperiale, University of Tampa
2025 Record (as of Dec. 2): 28-0
In his first season as head coach, Imperiale wasted no time continuing the rich Tampa volleyball tradition. The only unbeaten team left in Division II volleyball, his Spartans have been No. 1 in the AVCA Division II Poll since early October. They open play in the 2025 NCAA DII Championship having dropped only 17 sets across 28 matches.
SOUTH CENTRAL REGION COACH OF THE YEAR
Jenny Glenn, Metropolitan State University of Denver
2025 Record (as of Dec. 2): 26-3
Glenn has taken one of Division II’s storied programs to an even higher level during her 10 years at the helm as the Roadrunner volleyball head coach. Her 2025 squad enters the NCAA Championship having not lost a match in the past two months. During the 19-match winning streak, MSU-Denver has dropped just three sets.
SOUTHEAST REGION COACH OF THE YEAR
Lauren Tekavec, Wingate
2025 Record (as of Dec. 2): 28-1
It is been a fruitful two-year run for Wingate since Tekavec became the school’s head volleyball coach. She’s led the 2025 Bulldogs to a 28-1 record, with the lone loss coming in early September. Wingate has been dominant all season long, posting a hitting percentage of .277, which is miles ahead of its opponents’ rate of .117.
WEST REGION COACH OF THE YEAR
Kelsee Montagna, Fresno Pacific University
2025 Record (as of Dec. 2): 25-1
Montagna has elevated Fresno Pacific volleyball in her two seasons. The 2023 team went 13-16, then her first FPU team was 18-10 before the 2025 Sunbirds took flight for a 25-1 record entering the NCAA Championship. The 2025 team earned the program’s first national ranking since 2016 and captured its first-ever PacWest Tournament title.
