KARI KNOTTS, THE LOVETT SCHOOL (GA)
The AVCA announced Kari Knotts of The Lovett School in Atlanta, Georgia, as the 2025 AVCA Girls High School Player of the Year, presented by Nike.
An outside hitter, Knotts delivered a standout freshman season, helping Lovett capture the Private Class State Championship. She was named GVCA 2A State Player of the Year, earned GVCA All State honors, and was MVP of the state finals. On the national level, Knotts was also recognized as a 2025 AVCA All Region selection and Region 3 Player of the Year.
Knotts finished the season with 631 kills, averaging 6.5 kills per set while hitting an impressive .501. Her impact extended beyond high school competition as well. This past summer, at just 14 years old, she was the youngest member of the USA Volleyball U19 National Team that won gold at the Pan American Cup. She earned MVP honors at the event and was named Best Spiker.
