The AVCA is pleased to announce its 35th All-America teams for National Collegiate men’s volleyball.
The 2025 lists include 24 players—12 each on the first and second teams—from 11 schools. UCLA leads the way with three players on the first team, and four total All-Americans. Long Beach State University, Loyola University Chicago, the University of Hawai‘i, and Pepperdine University all have three players on the first or second teams.
Hilir Henno of UC Irvine, Andrew Rowan of UCLA, and Parker Van Buren of Loyola Chicago all become three-time All-Americans. Both Henno and Rowan are AVCA first-teamers for the third-consecutive year, and this is Van Buren’s second-straight first-team honor, to go with his second-team award in 2023. Nathan Flayter is McKendree University, who is second-team selection this season, is his school’s first-ever All-American.
The 2025 AVCA Player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year is Moni Nikolov of Long Beach State. The remarkable freshman averages 10.0 assists per set and has helped The Beach post a nation-leading .395 hitting percentage heading into the 2025 NCAA Championship semifinals. Additionally, his 97 aces established both school and Big West single-season records.
