The AVCA has added 17 players to the 2025 Division I Watch List for its Player of the Year Award, presented by Nike Volleyball. You can see the names of the players, who represent 14 different schools, in the top chart below. They join the 30 players who were named to the Preseason Watch List in late July (names at bottom).

The Watch List was compiled by the AVCA Division I Women’s Volleyball Awards Committee. They will also be the group working on the additional phases of the Player of the Year process, which include:

  • Naming the semifinalists [mid-November]
  • Revealing the finalists [likely Dec. 15]
  • The announcement of the Player of the Year in Kansas City at the AVCA Awards Banquet on Friday Dec. 19.

NOTE: Players who aren’t on the Watch List can still be added as the season progresses.
