The AVCA and Taraflex® are pleased to again provide AVCA memberships to a group of high school volleyball coaches. The partnership, which debuted a year ago, celebrates the number of college volleyball courts Taraflex has installed.
“Taraflex is committed to supporting volleyball coaches,” says Jeff Krejsa, Managing Director of Gerflor USA. “In partnership with the American Volleyball Coaches Association, we are offering 120 high school coaches a fully paid, one-year AVCA membership. This initiative underscores our dedication to advancing the sport and supporting coaches who play a vital role in developing young talent.”
In mid-2024, Taraflex installed its 100th collegiate court—at the University of Tennessee—and the partnership with the AVCA was formed to provide 100 memberships to coaches selected by the AVCA. This fall, 120 coaches from 18 states are receiving AVCA memberships, and it is expected that Taraflex will fund this initiative in future years.
“We are grateful that Taraflex has chosen to expand its commitment to volleyball through this creative project,” says AVCA CEO Dr. Jaime Gordon. “Providing high school coaches with AVCA memberships is a very tangible way to support the future leaders of our sport.”
The area of concentration for the 2025-26 recipients is the Midwest—particularly the states of Arkansas, Kansas, and Missouri—based on a desire to expand relationships in these volleyball communities. Oregon is also a focus, to commemorate the laying of Taraflex court No. 120 at the University of Oregon.
Special thanks to the following organizations for their support in stewarding this initiative: the Columbia Empire Region of USA Volleyball, the Arkansas Volleyball Coaches Association, the Kansas Volleyball Association, and the Missouri High School Volleyball Coaches Association.
