Lexington, KY (November 18, 2025) – The AVCA is proud to announce the 20th annual AVCA Girls High School All-America Teams. A total of 1,460 nominations were submitted to the AVCA from across the nation. From an illustrious group of nominees, 120 players were named to the AVCA All-America Teams, with another 120 athletes awarded as Honorable Mention All-Americans.
The All-America First Team features 24 total athletes: 16 Seniors, 6 Juniors, 1 Sophomore, and 1 Freshman. The state of Texas leads the way with seven First Team selections.
In order to be eligible for selection, the player’s AVCA member high school head coach must have completed a nomination on the AVCA nomination portal. Her complete season stats, displaying that she played in at least 50% of her team’s sets this season, must have been submitted on either the AVCA nomination form or via the MaxPreps website. 2024 marked the first year in which Freshmen through Juniors were deemed eligible for what was previously a Senior awards program. All-America selections were completed by the AVCA High School All-America Region and National Committees.

HENLEY ANDERSON, Dripping Springs High School (TX), SR
Position: Outside Hitter

Henley is a two-time AVCA First-Team All-American (2024, 2025) and back-to-back AVCA National Player of the Year finalist. She broke her school’s career kills record this season, finishing with 2,217 career kills in addition to 209 aces, 214 blocks, and 1,268 digs. She was a two-time Central Texas Player of the Year and 2023 6A State Champion, earning All-Tournament honors as a Freshman. Henley was named the 2022 and 2023 PrepVolleyball Player of the Year. Internationally, Henley has competed on three USA teams, winning U19 NORCECA Gold (2024), U19 World Championship Silver and the “Best Opposite” Award (2025), and most recently representing the U.S. at the U21 World Championship.
ELLA ANDREWS, Mercy High School (MI), SR

Ella Andrews, a standout senior from Mercy High School, has been a driving force both on and off the court. Known for her leadership, determination, and powerful presence at the net, Ella has helped elevate her team to new heights throughout her high school career. Ella earned a number of awards, including: 2025 and 2024 1st Team All-Catholic; 2024 1st Team All-State; 2024 and 2025 AVA All-Region; 2025 AVCA Region Player of the Year; 2024 AVCA Second Team All-America; 2024 East vs West High School All-Tournament Team; 2022-24 AVCA Phenom Watch List; Three-time JVA All-National Team; and is a USAV NTDP Training Series athlete.

HALEY BURGDORF, St. Charles North High School (IL), SR

Haley Burgdorf has had an exceptional high school career at St. Charles North, having been named to countless All Tournament and All Area teams, a 4x DuKane All Conference Selection, 2x DuKane All Conference MVP, a 2x IVCA First Team All State selection, and a 2x AVCA First Team All American selection.
NEJARI CROOKS, Wesleyan Christian Academy (NC), JR
Position: Right Side Hitter

Nejari’s numerous awards and accomplishments include: 3x All-State Honors; 3x All-Conference Team; 2x Conference Player of the Week; 2x MVP; approaching 1000 career kills and assists; 1st in NCISAA 4A; 2025 PTAC Conference Champions. She was a member of the USAV Girls U19 National Team that won Gold in the 2025 NORCECA Pan American Cup. and was a 2025 Carolina Region Champion with Triad Elite.
EMMA CUGINO, Olentangy Orange (OH), SR

Emma Cugino is a 3-time club National Champion, earning MVP at Nationals in 2024. During her Junior and Senior years, she was named First Team All-State and District Player of the Year. During her Senior year, she was ranked the #1 player in the state of Ohio by the Columbus Dispatch. She is also ranked the #1 Libero in the class of 2026 by Prep Volleyball and was named to the 2025 USAV U19 National Team.
AUDREY FLANAGAN, Mira Costa High School (CA), SR
Position: Outside Hitter
College Commitment: Wisconsin
This is Audrey’s second AVCA First Team All-American selection as a scholar-athlete at Mira Costa High School, where she finishes her career with an average of 4.6 kills per set with 1250 kills overall. She competed for USA Volleyball in the U19 NORCECA Championships in 2024 (Gold Medal) and in the U21 World Championships in 2025. Additionally, she was named the 2024 Bay League Most Outstanding Player; 2023 and 2024 Costa Indoor Most Offensive Player; 2023 All-Bay League First Team; and 2023 MaxPreps Second Team All-American.
OLIVIA HENRY, IMG Academy (FL), JR
Position: Outside Hitter
College Commitment: Penn State
Olivia Henry is a standout volleyball player and Penn State commit known for her powerful presence on the court and exceptional all-around skill, including being named the Nike Tournament of Champions Most Valuable Player (2025). Olivia won a Gold Medal at the 2025 Pan American Cup as a member of the USAV U19 National Team, U16 IMG Team MVP, and has been part of the USAV NTDP program for the past three years.
ELENA HOECKE, Centennial High School (MN), SR
Position: Middle Blocker
College Commitment: Minnesota
A five-time varsity player and three-time captain at Centennial High School, Hoecke was named a 2025 AVCA All-American, the 2025 Minnesota Ms. Baden Award winner and the 2025 Star Tribune Volleyball Player of the Year. The two-time All-State selection was named to the 2025 AAAA State All-Tournament Team. She was named the 2025 AVCA Region 7 Player of the Year. She has experience playing in the USA gym as well, competing as a U19 National Team Player for U21 World Championships last summer. She played for the 2024 USA U-19 National Team and won a gold medal at the NORCECCA Girls’ U19 Continental Championship.
KARI KNOTTS, The Lovett School (GA), FR

As a Freshman, Kari helped The Lovett School win the Private Class State Championship and she was named the GVCA 2A State Player of the Year, GVCA All-State, and MVP of the state finals. Kari finished the season with 631 kills, averaging 6.5 k/s on a .501 hitting %. This past summer at 14 years old, she was the youngest member of the USA Volleyball U19 National team that won Gold at the Pan-American Cup, earning MVP honors as well as being named the Best Spiker. In addition to her success in volleyball, she also excels in the classroom.
PEYTON KUBIK, Blue Valley West High School (KS), JR
Position: Outside Hitter
College Commitment: University of Pittsburgh
Peyton Kubik led Blue Valley West this season with an impressive 482 kills, guiding her team to the Kansas 6A State Championship. A two-time All-State selection, Peyton has also been recognized as an NTDP invitee and is a finalist for the prestigious Evelyn Gates Award, honoring the top volleyball player in the Kansas City area. An elite competitor, Peyton elevates everyone around her with her skill, intensity, and leadership on the court. She is committed to continue her volleyball career at the University of Pittsburgh as part of the Class of 2027.
GRACE MARTIN, St. Thomas Aquinas High School (KS), SR

College Commitment: Arizona State
Grace was a three-time Kansas 5A State Champion and the 2025 Evelyn Gates Award winner, which recognizes the top volleyball player in Kansas City. She was also named Player of the Year in the Eastern Kansas League against exceptionally strong competition, 2025 KVA All-State and 5A Player of the Year, and to the 2025 KVA State Tournament Team. Grace will continue her career at Arizona State next year.
WESTLEY MATAVAO, Mater Dei High School (CA), JR

Westley has earned a number of awards, including: 2024 All CIF; 2024 1st Team All-OC; 2024 Durango Classic MVP; 2025 Durango All-Tournament Team; 2025 All-Tournament Team Nike Tournament of Champions Southeast; Three-time 1st Team All Trinity League; 2024 AVCA Honorable Mention All-American; 2025 Girls USAV U19 National Team; 2025 NORCECA Pan Am Championship Gold Medalist.
MAYA OGBOGU, Allen High School (TX), SO

Maya was named the 2025 All-Tournament at Rockwall, where her team was the 2025 Rockwall Tournament Champions; MVP Allen TX Open; and Volleypalooza All-Tournament Team. She recently competed on the USAV U17 National Team, where she was named the MVP and Best Spiker at the 2025 NORCECA U17 Continental Championship. Maya was also named the 2025 PrepVolleyball Player of the Year and is a 3x Triple Crown NIT Champion.

SOPHEE PETERSON, Byron Nelson High School (TX), JR

Sophee was named a 2024 AVCA All American, 2024 Max Preps National Sophomore of the Year, Ann Kang All- Tournament Team, NISD Classic MVP, District MVP. She was named to the 2025 USA Volleyball & Prep Volleyball 16 Open All-Tournament Teams, the 2025 JVA All-National Team. Additionally, she was named to the 2024 THSCA Coaches Super Elite Team and 2024 Texas VB Insiders UIL All-Texas Team.
JAYDEN ROBINSON, Ridge Point High School (TX), SR
Position: Outside Hitter

A proven leader and six-rotation standout, Jayden is a three-time 21-6A First Team All-District selection, two-time Blocker of the Year, 2025 District MVP, and AVCA All-Region Team honoree. She has represented the USA U21 and U19 National Teams, helping lead Team USA to a 2024 NORCECA Championship title. At the club level, she guided Houston Skyline to the 2025 GJNC 17 Open National Championship, earning All-Tournament Team, Club First Team All-American, and Offensive Player of the Year honors in both 2024 and 2025.
GABRIELLA RODRIGUEZ, McKinney North High School (TX), SR

Gabi played for McKinney North HS in addition to competing in club for MadFrog Volleyball Club for 10 years. She is a fierce competitor and holds herself and her teammates to the highest standards, while selflessly giving every bit of herself to her team and the team’s success. Some of her awards include: Grapevine/Colleyville Showcase All-Tournament Team, Texas UIL State Runner Up 2024-2025, UIL State All-Tournament Team, Texas Sports Writers 5A All State 1st Team/Libero of the Year, THSCA 5A Super Elite Team, TGCA All-State Team, and she holds the dig record for UIL State Championship match on any level with 43 digs. This past summer, Gabi represented USA on the U19 team that competed in Indonesia in the U21 World Championships and will begin her college volleyball career at Texas A&M this January.
TAYLOR STANLEY, Blue Valley Southwest High School (KS), SR

Taylor Stanley is a 2x 1st Team All-Conference (Eastern Kansas League), 2x Kansas 5A State All Tournament Team, and a 2x Kansas 5A All-State selection. Taylor led her team to a 2025 5A State Runner-up finish and competed with the 2025 U19 USAV National Team in Indonesia. Taylor has committed to continue her volleyball career at the University of Kansas.

HALLE THOMPSON, Grand Oaks High School (TX), SR

Halle Thompson, a standout volleyball player from Spring, Texas, has achieved remarkable success as a two-time Texas 6A High School State Champion and two-time State MVP (2023, 2024). She represented Team USA as a member of the U19 Girl’s National Team that earned gold at the 2024 NORCECA Championship in Honduras and most recently competed with the U21 Women’s National Team at the 2025 World Championship in Indonesia, where the team placed ninth. Halle competed as a part of the Houston Skyline 17 Royal club team that went on to win the 17 Open Championship, where she was also named MVP. Halle is also the 2025 AVCA All-Region Player of Year for Region 4, 2024 & 2025 First Team All-American, and a 2025 AVCA Best and Brightest Third Team honoree, recognizing her excellence both off and on the court.
AYANNA WATSON, Bishop Gorman High School (NV), SR
Position: Outside Hitter
College Commitment: University of Pittsburgh
Ayanna earned AVCA First Team All-American honors in 2024 and 2025, led her team to three Nevada State Championships, and is a three-time Nevada State Player of the Year. Ayanna is a two-time Nevada Gatorade Player of the Year (2024, 2025) and is humbled to be considered for the award again this season. She has also received Prep Volleyball’s 2024 Player of the Year, MaxPreps All-American honors in 2023 and 2024, and represented the United States on the USA U19 team at the FIVB U21 World Championships in Indonesia. Most recently, Ayanna was named the 2025 AVCA Region 9 Player of the Year, and is ranked #5 in the class of 2026 by Prep Volleyball and #6 in her class by PrepDig.
DANIELLE WHITMIRE, Walnut Grove High School (TX), SR

SHAYE WITHERSPOON, Lafayette High School (MO), SR
Position: Outside Hitter
College Commitment: Nebraska
Shaye is a Nebraska commit and Junior captain. She has been a part of three State Championship teams at Lafayette, earning All-State honors twice as well as AVCA Third Team All-America in 2024. This season, Shaye surpassed the 1000 kill mark and broke the single season kill record with 636 kills, including averaging over 7 kills per set in the State Semifinals and Championship.
