College beach volleyball’s marquee event is this week, as the 2026 AVCA Beach National Championships, presented by Capelli Sport, takes place in Huntsville, Alabama. The event goes from this Friday to Sunday and features the nation’s top collegiate beach players in a women’s pairs national championship and in the men’s team championship.
The AVCA is excited to be back in Huntsville for the Championships for the fifth time since its inception in 2022. This year’s Beach National Championships are presented by Capelli Sport, and admission is free and open to the public.
The women’s championship will consist of a 64-pair bracket of top collegiate pairs from 41 NCAA Division I and II programs. Those matches start on Friday and continue through the final match on Sunday at 11:45 a.m. ET. Schools earned bids through team performance in the 2026 spring season, through top finishes at qualifying events this fall, or as at-large selections.
The Men’s National Championship is growing from four to seven collegiate programs this year, and teams will play on Saturday and Sunday. The championship final begins at 1:15 p.m. ET Sunday, following the conclusion of the women’s pairs championship match.
The women’s pairs quarterfinal and semifinal matches on Saturday, as well as the third-place and championship matches on Sunday, will be broadcast on ESPN+. Additional women’s matches and some of the men’s matches, including duals from the men’s championship match, will be livestreamed on AVCA YouTube. See the full broadcast schedule here.
This year’s AVCA Championships will again take place at the John Hunt Park Sand Volleyball Complex in Huntsville, a premier beach volleyball facility with 15 courts, spectator viewing areas, and high-quality facilities to provide the best experience for teams, fans, and visitors.
The AVCA extends a special thank you to its valued partners—Capelli Sport, Baden, the Huntsville Sports Commission, the City of Huntsville, and Rally Volleyball—for their continued support of the AVCA Collegiate Beach National Championships.
