Collegiate Volleyball

Concordia University Texas announced the launch of its NCAA women’s beach volleyball program, with competition set to begin in spring 2026. The team will be led by Amy Farber Teal, who currently serves as head coach of the Tornados’ indoor volleyball program. The team will train and compete at the Austin Sports Center through a partnership with Austin Junior Volleyball and League One Volleyball (LOVB).

High School Volleyball

Nominate for the 2025 AVCA Phenom Watch List and AVCA All-America Watch List! The Phenom Watch List is open to (girls) underclassmen in the Fall of 2025, (players with a 2027, 2028, or 2029 high school grad year). The AVCA All-America Watch List is open to Seniors in the Fall of 2025 (players with a 2026 high school grad year).

USA Volleyball News

USA Volleyball is proud to announce the launch of the inaugural USA Volleyball Girls Junior Club Championship (GJCC), a new national event scheduled for June 5-7, 2026, in Columbus, Ohio. Designed as a stand-alone, non-bid championship event, the GJCC will offer competition for girls teams in the 10u through 17u divisions, replacing the existing Patriot Division GJNC structure for these age groups.

The U.S. Women’s Sitting National Team defeated Italy in an exciting final match to win the gold medal at the 2025 Dutch Tournament on Sunday in Assen, Netherlands. The U.S. Men’s Sitting National Team also captured gold with a 3-0 (25-17, 25-14, 25-22) victory over Türkiye.

Coaching Careers

The NCAA is requesting applications from interested individuals to serve as the NCAA Division III Women’s Volleyball National Coordinator of Officials. The coordinator assists the NCAA volleyball committee in the identification, selection and evaluation of officials (referees and line judges) for the NCAA Division III Women’s Volleyball Championship. Professional

(PVF) Indy Ignite announced that the team has named Lauren Bertolacci as head coach. Bertolacci was recently the head coach of Swiss Volley powerhouse Viteos NUC and is the head coach of the Swiss Women’s National Team.

NCAA Division I

Danny Alvarez has been selected as the head coach of the University of Hawai’i beach volleyball program.

Ball State University announced that head women’s volleyball coach Kelli Miller Phillips has signed a contract extension which will run through the 2029 season. Phillips, who will enter her 10th season as head coach in 2025, has guided the Cardinals to five postseason appearances.

North Florida announced a multi-year contract extension for Head Beach Volleyball Coach Doug Wright through the 2029 season. Wright has compiled a 100-48 record, six ASUN championships, and two NCAA tournament appearances.

NCAA Division II

University of Jamestown announced Toby Rens as the new Jimmie men’s volleyball head coach.

NCAA Division III

Averett University announced the promotion of Emma Nash as head coach for women’s volleyball.

North Central University Athletics is excited to announce Jessica Curry as its next Head Volleyball Coach.

NAIA

Rochester Christian University is excited to announce the hire of Pablo Sanchez as the Head Men’s Volleyball coach ahead of their inaugural season of play in 2026.
