Collegiate Volleyball
The AVCA and 10 other college sports coaches associations sent a Letter For the Record to Congressional Subcommittee members as a follow up to a hearing last week on Capitol Hill on college athletics. The letter, titled “Winning Off the Field: Legislative Proposal to Stabilize NIL and College Athletics,” focuses on a path forward in the college athletics landscape that would help preserve Olympic sports programs.
Nominate for the 2025 AVCA Phenom Watch List and AVCA All-America Watch List! The Phenom Watch List is open to (girls) underclassmen in the Fall of 2025, (players with a 2027, 2028, or 2029 high school grad year). The AVCA All-America Watch List is open to Seniors in the Fall of 2025 (players with a 2026 high school grad year).

From JVA – Inside the NCAA Settlement: Financial Implications for the Future of Collegiate Beach Volleyball It is the dawn of a new era in collegiate athletics. The landmark NCAA House Settlement has finally been approved. The settlement ends three separate antitrust lawsuits alleging that the NCAA unlawfully limited the earning potential of college athletes. Affected athletes now are set to receive billions in “back-damages” while schools are permitted to share revenue directly with their student athletes for the first time in history. Here is how the financial components of the settlement will impact collegiate beach volleyball opportunities, budgets, rosters, and scholarships.

Sanja Tomašević, a former Serbian National Team member with NCAA and professional coaching experience, has been hired as head coach of LOVB Houston Volleyball.
After spending 15 seasons with Wisconsin volleyball both as a student-athlete and assistant coach, Annemarie Hickey departs to take on a full-time assistant coaching position with LOVB Madison.

Ari Homayun named UC Davis Head Beach Volleyball Coach.

Montana State University Billings names Scott Keister the next head coach of MSUB volleyball.

Ramapo College has announced that Tyler Kwinta has been promoted to head coach of both the men’s and women’s volleyball programs.
