High School Volleyball Under the Stars: National Trend Breaking Records and Building Community High school volleyball is stepping out of the gym and into the spotlight—literally. What began as a bold experiment inspired by the Volleyball Day in Nebraska at the Huskers’ Memorial Stadium in 2023 (92,003 fans, the largest crowd for a women’s sporting event in U.S. history) has grown into a nationwide movement. Schools across the country are transforming football fields into volleyball arenas, creating electric atmospheres that rival Friday night lights.

Registration for the 2025 AVCA Phenom College Prep Program is open! The program is for uncommitted girls athletes on the AVCA Phenom Watch List or AVCA All-America Watch List. Athletes/parents should check their inbox for their unique link. If you need assistance, contact the AVCA.

2025 AVCA Boy’s Talent Showcase – Register today! This recruiting event provides high school boys the opportunity to showcase their skills in front of collegiate coaches who attend the AVCA Convention. The AVCA will also be offering an athlete skills clinic.

Professional Volleyball

Week 2 wrapped up Monday with Team Thompson defeating Team Valentin-Anderson 78-70. Thompson will enter Week Three with a commanding 722-point advantage on the overall leaderboard. Middle blocker Molly McCage will serve as a captain for the first time in her AU Pro Volleyball Championship career after vaulting into fourth place. Click here for the Week 3 schedule! USA Volleyball

Both U.S. National Sitting Teams are scoring victories at the 2025 World ParaVolley World Cup. The Men’s latest match ended in a 3-1 victory over Poland, and the Women defeated Canada 3-0. The tournament continues on Wednesday, matches will be live streamed.

The U.S. Men’s National Team swept Puerto Rico Sunday night 3-0 to win its third consecutive gold medal at the NORCECA Final Six in Ponce, Puerto Rico.
