NCAA Divisions II and III will livestream more than 1,200 championship games free to fans for the 2025-26 academic year. Through a partnership with Hudl and TNT Sports, all rounds of team championships not already covered by existing ESPN or CBS agreements will be streamed free via NCAA Championships Pass.

Houston Volleyball retired the late trailblazer Flo Hyman’s jersey prior to its match against Arizona on Sunday. Hyman, a volleyball pioneer and the first female scholarship athlete in Houston Athletics’ history, was a three-time All-American for the volleyball program from 1974-76 before departing the team to advance volleyball on the national, Olympic, and international stage. National Girls and Women in Sports Day was inspired by Hyman’s spirit and success.
Indiana Wesleyan Athletics is excited to announce the addition of Men’s Volleyball as the university’s 24th varsity sport. IWU will offer athletic scholarships and compete at the highest level within the NAIA, with recruiting set to begin immediately.
The University of Georgia volleyball team defeated Alabama in five sets on Friday in front of 8,719 fans at Stegeman Coliseum, a new program and NCAA volleyball attendance record for the state of Georgia.
In a powerful example of sportsmanship and community spirit, the volleyball team at Community High School in Nevada, Texas surprised custodian Abel Rodriguez with a life-changing gift—a car. After learning he had no transportation, the team rallied local businesses and raised funds to make the heartfelt presentation. Watch here.

2025 AVCA Boy’s Talent Showcase – Register today! This recruiting event provides high school boys the opportunity to showcase their skills in front of collegiate coaches who attend the AVCA Convention. The AVCA will also be offering an athlete skills clinic.

AVCA Awards
The 2025 AVCA-The Marines Battles Won Award recognizes volleyball players and coaches who are overcoming obstacles on and off the court. The AVCA is proud to honor five coaches and 11 players in the volleyball community who have faced hardships and come back strong. Their stories are being shared over six weeks this fall.
The AVCA is proud to announce its 2025 Club Awards, which go to deserving coaches and club directors in the youth/club volleyball community. The AVCA has also named the 2025 Winners Circle Club Teams.
Professional Volleyball
Lincoln Arneal recapped the first two weeks of the Athletes Unlimited season.
After two weeks in Omaha, Athletes Unlimited is moving to Madison for its last two-week session. Jordan Thompson departs Omaha with a commanding lead in the standings after scoring 2133 points over six matches. Check out the Week Three draft results. Competition begins Thursday at 7pm ET on ESPNU.
Major League Volleyball (MLV) Dallas officially becomes Dallas Pulse, revealing its logo and confirming Comerica Center in Frisco as its home court. The announcement marks an exciting milestone as North Texas’ first women’s professional volleyball team prepares to debut in the upcoming 2026 season.
The 2025 MLV Draft will take place on Monday, November 24. For the 2026 season, which begins in January, MLV teams may have no less than 12 and no more than 16 players on the active roster.

The U.S. Women’s Sitting National Team won the gold medal at the ParaVolley World Cup, pulling off a reverse sweep against Brazil and finished the tournament 5-2.

NCAA Division I
George Mason University announced a contract extension through the 2027 season for women’s volleyball head coach Megan Shifflett Bachmann. During her tenure, George Mason has produced one All-Atlantic 10 selection and two All-Rookie Team honorees.
NCAA Division II
Vanessa Phyakeo announced to lead the Barry University women’s beach volleyball program.
Brian Imperiale has been named head coach of the University of Tampa volleyball, after being named interim head coach prior to the 2025 season following the retirement of longtime head coach Chris Catanach.
