All-America nomination dates; 2025 AVCA Hall of Fame

The AVCA is excited to reveal its 2025 Hall of Fame class, which includes Ray Bechard, Jenny Hahn, Alan Knipe, and Tracy Rietzke. All four have made significant contributions to the sport across their careers, Hahn in her role with the Junior Volleyball Association and Bechard, Knipe, and Rietzke as collegiate coaches. The induction ceremony will take place Thursday, Dec. 18, during the 2025 AVCA Convention in Kansas City, Missouri.

Voting for the following positions on the AVCA Board of Directors will be conducted October 27-30, 2025:

The Delegate Assembly of the Oregon School Activities Association (OSAA) voted in boys volleyball as a sanctioned activity. Boys volleyball in Oregon will begin its first season as a sanctioned activity in the Spring of 2026 following two years as an emerging activity.
2025 AVCA Boy’s Talent Showcase – Register today! This recruiting event provides high school boys the opportunity to showcase their skills in front of collegiate coaches who attend the AVCA Convention. The AVCA will also be offering an athlete skills clinic.
Registration for the 2025 AVCA Phenom College Prep Program is open! The program is for uncommitted girls athletes on the AVCA Phenom Watch List or AVCA All-America Watch List. Athletes/parents should check their inbox for their unique link. If you need assistance, contact the AVCA.

The AVCA has added 17 players to the 2025 Division I Watch List for its Player of the Year Award, presented by Nike Volleyball.
On Sept. 19th, 14th-ranked DIII UW-Eau Claire toppled the No. 1 UW-Whitewater Warhawks in front of the largest crowd in Blugold Volleyball history: 2,134 fans!
Penn State’s Katie Schumacher-Cawley made history as the 1st female volleyball coach to win the NCAA Division I championship, all while undergoing treatment for stage 2 triple-positive breast cancer. She recently shared her story on the TODAY Show.

USA Volleyball announces the 13 athletes who will compete for the U.S. Women’s Sitting National Team at the 2025 World ParaVolley World Cup, Oct. 12-18 in Fort Wayne, Indiana – hosted in the United States for the first time.
The U.S. Men’s National Team got its first win at the NORCECA Final Six after defeating Canada, 3-1 on Tuesday in Ponce, Puerto Rico. The U.S. (1-1) will play the Dominican Republic (1-1) at 1 p.m. PT on Wednesday.
