These highly regarded volleyball coaches have made significant contributions to Alabama high school volleyball. The 2025 Hall of Famers will be recognized during the 2nd set of the AHSAA Volleyball All-Star Match on July 24, in Montgomery, AL.

Kentucky Volleyball Coaches Association (KVCA)’s Mr. Kentucky Volleyball Codey leads St. Xavier to inaugural KHSAA state championship. St. X defeated Henry Clay 25-10, 25-12, 25-15, to win the state title in the first boys volleyball KHSAA-sanctioned championship.
The 2025 NCA Coaches Clinic volleyball program, scheduled for July 22–24 in Lincoln, Nebraska, will feature sessions led by Bellevue University (NE) Head Coach Trish Siedlik, University of NE Head Coach Kelly Hunter, and Omaha Skutt Catholic HS Head Coach Renee Saunders focusing on skill development, team systems, and coaching strategies. Attendees will also have opportunities for networking, professional development, and recognition through awards like the NCA-AVCA Coach Jean Groth Team Academic Excellence Awards and Milestone Awards Recognition.
Frontier High School has unveiled a new outdoor volleyball court, setting the stage for a historic match this September against rival Hamburg High. The event will mark the first-ever sanctioned outdoor high school boys volleyball match in the U.S., and the first of its kind in New York State for both boys and girls.

The 2025 OHSVCA Coaches Clinic was held on Friday, June 6th at Westerville South High School with about 150 coaches having the opportunity to engage in on-court and classroom coaching education options, connect with coaching colleagues, and welcome the newest class of OHSVCA Hall of Famers.
An added bonus for 2025, was the involvement of the United States Marine Corps represented by Major Paul Wocjik who gave a presentation during the General Session. Huge thanks to Major Wocjik and the Ohio Marines for sharing with the coaches!
The Detroit Volleyball Coaches Association hosted its annual HBCU+ Volleyball Showcase and Coaches Clinic on June 13–14, at Renaissance High School. The event provided student-athletes with a platform to showcase their skills in front of college coaches from across the country, with a focus on connecting them to HBCU programs. Penny Lucas-White, head women’s volleyball coach at Alabama State University, served as the lead facilitator and clinician. This year welcomed several first-time attendees, including Central Michigan’s Arielle Wilson and Ferris State’s Tia Brandel-Wilhelm.
On June 14, local high school and club coaches had the opportunity to connect with college coaches and gain practical insights to help develop their athletes and prepare for the upcoming season.
Volleyball specific content was presented by Dan Georgalas (SDSU), Brent Aldridge (Northern Aberdeen), John Kessel (USA VB Denver), and Jean LaClair (NHSACA Chair). The NHSACA National Coaches Hall of Fame and NHSACA National Coach of the Year were recognized during the event.
The AVCA is proud to announce the recipients of its 2025 Best and Brightest Awards for boys high school volleyball. This year’s list includes 87 senior student-athletes that are being recognized for their excellence on and off the court.

The JVA announced its 2025 Beach Watch List on June 23, recognizing top female beach athletes from member clubs nationwide. Nearly 300 athletes were nominated by their Beach Directors.

The USA Volleyball Foundation, the philanthropic arm of USA Volleyball, announced today its combination with the First Point Volleyball Foundation. As part of this strategic alignment, many First Point Foundation board members will join the USA Volleyball Foundation board. Additionally, the USA Volleyball Foundation will assume all of First Point’s assets and honor its existing grant commitments.
