High school and collegiate VARSITY teams will qualify if they were able to average a 3.30 GPA on 4.0 scale or better for the entire 2025-2026 academic year (or 4.10 on a 5.00 scale, or 82 on a 100-pt scale). Girls, Boys, Women’s, Men’s, Indoor and Beach programs are all eligible!
Both lists will be published on August 24, 2026. The Phenom Watch List is open to underclassmen in the Fall of 2026 (players with a 2028, 2029, or 2030 grad year). The AVCA All-America Watch List is open to Seniors in the Fall of 2026 (players with a 2027 grad year).

Register for the 2026 IVCA Coaches Clinic on Saturday, August 8 at Bolingbrook High School (Bolingbrook, IL), featuring an outstanding lineup of presenters from Lewis University, Loyola, Central College, and top high schools and clubs.
The 92nd KSHSAA Coaching School takes place August 3-4 at the Salina Fieldhouse in Salina, Kansas. Early-bird registration is open. Coaches can also get CPR/AED certified for an additional fee. Presenter information coming soon!!

New Mexico volleyball coaching legendFlo Valdezwas inducted into the 2026 NFHS Hall of Fame yesterday honoring more than 1,000 career wins, including 376 victories and three state titles at Roswell High School and 705 wins at Franklin High School.
Kyra Gaston, a former Copperas Cove HS standout from Central Texas – is earning national recognition after setting historic blocking records, showing the lasting impact of elite work ethic and development at the HS level. Read more.
Jan Barker (Amarillo High School, TX) who led the Sandies to 10 UIL volleyball titles in 31 years, was inducted into the NFHS Hall of Fame on yesterday June 29, honoring a legendary career.

Detroit Volleyball Coaches Association (DVCA) hosted its Detroit Volleyball Showcase and Coaches Clinic June 12-13, at Renaissance High School (Detroit, MI) led by Alabama State 6x SWAC Champion Head Coach Penny Lucas-White! The AVCA’s Kennedy Wells connected with area coaches and coach clinicians attending the clinic and showcase on behalf of the AVCA T.E.A.M. Committee.
Mateo Fuerbringer and his coach Greg Snyder of Mira Costa High School earned 2026 AVCA Boys High School Player
and Coach of the Year honors after leading their team to a 37–2 national championship season.
The AVCA has announced its 19th Annual Boys High School All-America Teams, recognizing 52 student-athletes from 35 high schools across 16 states, including 14 first-team, 14 second-team, and 24 honorable mention selections.
Eligible nominees included both seniors and underclassmen, as long as their head coach is an AVCA member.
On June 2, we took time to engage with our 2025-26 AVCA-Taraflex membership scholarship recipients by calling a TIMEOUT with AVCA president and Ohio State head coach Jen Flynn Oldenburg. This was an opportunity to put a “face” on this two-year old initiative. The TIMEOUT was recorded and sent to the scholarship recipients and now we’re sharing it with you. Thank you, Taraflex®, for your commitment to the AVCA volleyball coaching community!”
Volleyball standouts Alisha Glass Childress (Leland High School, MI) and Jordan Larson (Logan View High School, NE) headline the 2026 NFHS National High School Hall of Fame class, recognized among the sport’s all-time greats.
