AVCA’s Spring Volleyball Officials Appreciation Week is an opportunity for boys, men’s, beach, club and pro volleyball teams to show appreciate to our volleyball officials.
We realize some teams were on spring break or may not have had a match during the official event, so we’re allowing you until Sunday, April 5, to submit your event to be added to the AVCA’s National Participant’s List.

The Alabama High School Coaches Association (AHSVCA) Hall of Fame Class of 2026 Nominations will open April 1-15. Alabama high school volleyball coaches and contributors (i.e. trainers, administrators, officials, sportswriters, junior high coaches, association contributors, etc.) can be nominated.
Train with volleyball coaches and professionals like Julie Torbett-Thomas, Jackson Lenoir, Nancy Mueller, Sally Polhamus, Kele Eveland, Caroline Cole, Cat Monroe and Katie Bailey.
The 2026 GHVCA Coaches Clinic takes place Saturday, May 30, at Deer Park High School – North Campus. Kansas (KVA)
Kansas City–area advocates are pushing for Kansas to sanction boys high school volleyball, citing the sport’s rapid growth nationwide and increased participation across the Midwest. Supporters will ask the Kansas Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association to recommend the sport for approval, a key step toward potential adoption by the Kansas State High School Activities Association. Kentucky (KVCA)
The KVCA releases its first regular season KVCA Boys’ Volleyball Poll of the 2026 season. The St. Xavier Tigers hold onto the #1 team in the state followed by Trinity, DeSales, Ryle, and Henry Clay in that order.
The Nebraska Great Plains Region’s 2nd Annual Boys Volleyball Showcase is Friday, April 10, at the CHI Health Center (Omaha, NE). The 2026 State Championship is Sunday, May 3, at Bellevue University Athletic Field House.

10 years ago, NC Boys Volleyball did not exist. They started with just four teams, and that has grown to thousands of boys playing volleyball. At the end of April, the North Carolina Boys Volleyball Association (NCBVA) will ask the NCHSAA to vote on sanctioning boys volleyball.

The AVCA announced the annual Boys’ High School Senior All-America volleyball athlete Watch List and High Risers List for the 2025-26 season. This year’s watch list features 597 high school senior athletes. The list serves as the starting point for the Boys’ High School Senior All-America selection process.
“BIG EAST Challenge” Doubleheader Monday, March 24
The AVCA is pleased to announce that it will add a fourth day of competition to 2026 First Serve in Milwaukee. A “BIG EAST Challenge” doubleheader—featuring Marquette vs. Texas and Xavier vs. Pittsburgh—will take place Monday, Aug. 24 at Fiserv Forum. Ticket packages for the first three days of AVCA First Serve are available through Ticketmaster.
Apply to be considered as a speaker for on-court, beach court or classroom presentations at the 2026 AVCA Annual Convention in San Antonio, Texas December 16-20. The application window will close on May 11.
