The AVCA is proud to announce the 20th annual AVCA Girls High School All-America Teams. A total of 1,460 nominations were submitted to the AVCA from across the nation. 120 players were named to the AVCA All-America Teams, with another 120 athletes awarded as Honorable Mention All-Americans.
The All-America First Team features 24 total athletes: 16 Seniors, 6 Juniors, 1 Sophomore, and 1 Freshman. The state of Texas leads the way with seven First Team selections.
Submit your wins for the AVCA Victory Club Award by December 1. The AVCA recognizes all member head coaches who have reached milestone career wins of 100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600, 700, 800, 900, or 1000+ matches at their current level of coaching.
GHVCA is preparing for a post-season celebration – featuring a team release and All-Star Volleyball event designed to spotlight the incredible talent across Greater Houston. Stay tuned.
The IVCA also added four members to its Hall of Fame: Fran Struble, Mark Haberkorn, Patty Langanis and Sandy Griffin.

The AVCA-USMC Battles Won Award recognizes volleyball players and coaches who are overcoming obstacles on and off the court. The AVCA Boys’ Talent Showcase is a recruiting event for men’s college coaches attending the AVCA Convention from 9 – 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 20 in Hall D of the Kansas City Convention Center. It is open to uncommitted and unsigned HS boys VB players. Learn more.
For the fourteenth year, the AVCA will host the invitation only Phenom College Preparatory Program for uncommitted seniors on the AVCA All-American Watch List and uncommitted underclassman on the AVCA Phenom Watch list. The event will be held at the AVCA Convention in Kansas City, Missouri on December 18-20. Since the start of the program, 80% of participating athletes end up on college rosters!Learn more.
