The American Volleyball Coaches Association is pleased to announce the Arkansas Volleyball Coaches Association (ArVCA) as the newest addition to the roster of AVCA Signature Affiliate associations. The addition of the ArVCA brings the total number of AVCA Signature Affiliate partners to 12.
The agreement, retroactive to July 1, 2025, makes the AVCA the “Official Volleyball Coaching Education Partner of the ArVCA.” Under the terms of the agreement, high school/interscholastic volleyball coaches actively coaching in the state of Arkansas will receive dual membership in the ArVCA and the AVCA upon joining or renewing their membership.
“The AVCA has maintained a partnership with the ArVCA, and we are excited about the opportunity to take the relationship with the ArVCA to the next level,” said AVCA Director of Membership Kennedy Wells. “Establishing a multi-layered approach to engaging high school volleyball coaches beyond their gym, their school, their district, and their state brings a greater sense of community for high school coaches across the country. Huge thanks to ArVCA President Natalie Throneberry for the opportunity to continue to add value to the ArVCA and its member coaches.”
“We are thrilled to be partnering with AVCA to empower coaches and advance the sport we love in our home state,” said Throneberry, who is the head girls varsity coach at Southside High School in Fort Smith. “We know that our volleyball community in Arkansas will benefit greatly from this opportunity.”
The ArVCA joins the Alabama High School Volleyball Coaches Association, Georgia Volleyball Coaches Association, Greater Houston Volleyball Coaches Association, Illinois Volleyball Coaches Association, Kansas Volleyball Association, Kentucky Volleyball Coaches Association, Nebraska Coaches Association (Volleyball), New York Volleyball Coaches Association, North Carolina Volleyball Coaches Association, and the Tennessee Volleyball Coaches Association as AVCA Signature Affiliate Partner associations.
