The American Volleyball Coaches Association elevated Jen Flynn Oldenburg to the position of President of its Board of Directors at the group’s meeting May 19-20 in Chicago.
The Ohio State women’s volleyball coach since 2020, Oldenburg replaces Kirsten Bernthal Booth, who stepped down as the AVCA President when she left Creighton to take a position with League One Volleyball (LOVB) in April. Oldenburg was elected to the AVCA Board last fall and will be the AVCA President through Dec. 31, 2026, then she will serve a one-year term as Past President.
The position of AVCA President-Elect she vacated will be filled via election in the fall of 2025, and the new President-Elect will begin a one-year term effective Jan. 1, 2026.
