Lexington, Kentucky (Nov. 13, 2023) — The American Volleyball Coaches Association is partnering with Rivals Media to begin a bold, new fan engagement program. The initiative taps into the passion and loyalty of volleyball community, as well as reaching a wide audience of supporters through Rivals’ free-to-play mobile sweepstakes platform.
“Volleyball is experiencing unprecedented growth, and record attendance and television viewership.” says Jaime Gordon, AVCA CEO. “This initiative will provide our passionate fan base, along with general sports enthusiasts, an additional way to engage with this exciting sport while supporting programs that increase the accessibility of volleyball for everyone.”
This premise of this innovative project is simple: fans can participate for free in the sweepstakes by predicting outcomes of matches during the 2023 Division I Women’s Volleyball Championship. The Volleyball 4 All Challenge will also include other components, such as which team will score the first point, or which coach will call the first time out, which will earn them points throughout the game.
When fans register, they have the option to make a tax-deductible donation to AVCA Volleyball 4 All fund, which supports the association’s scholarships, social programs, and grassroot initiatives. This unique feature empowers participants to make a positive impact on the volleyball community while also enhancing their fan experience.
“We’re excited to pioneer a new era of fan engagement with AVCA, bringing the thrill of volleyball to a broader audience and empowering fans to make a positive impact through the Volleyball 4 All Challenge,” says John Cioe, CEO of Rivals Media.
