“Quick Reaction Passing” with University of Florida Volleyball Head Coach Ryan Theis teaches athletes how to develop fast, controlled hands through a progression that builds confidence and speed at any level.
Training begins on the knees to isolate upper‑body movement, moves to wall‑work to increase tempo and precision, and finishes with full reaction drills that challenge athletes to read, adjust, and respond quickly.
This sequence helps players sharpen their touch, improve their readiness, and train their hands to work efficiently under pressure.

For the 15th year, the AVCA will host the invitation only Phenom College Preparatory Program(opens in new tab) on December 17-19, in San Antonio. Since the start of the program, 80% of participating athletes end up on college rosters! Invitations to athletes on the Phenom List were sent out September 23, and registration is open.
The AVCA Boys Talent Showcase(opens in new tab) on Saturday, December 19, in San Antonio gives high school boys volleyball athletes the opportunity to showcase their skills in front of college coaches attending the AVCA Convention.
Athletes can register online for the Talent Showcase on Saturday, December 19, and the AVCA Boys Showcase Clinic on Friday, December 18.
