The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) is excited to announce that Huntsville, Alabama, will once again serve as the host city for the AVCA Beach National Championships in 2026. This year’s event will showcase a women’s pairs national championship alongside a men’s team national championship.
The women’s field will feature 64 pairs representing collegiate beach programs from across the nation.
The men’s competition will expand the field this year, welcoming eight collegiate programs to Huntsville as they compete for the collegiate men’s beach team national title.
2026 AVCA Fall Collegiate Beach Championship Qualifying Events
We are excited to offer 9 qualifying events this year where 30 bids can be earned to the AVCA Fall Collegiate Beach Championships. There will be 10 bids per zone.
Get ready for the 2026 AVCA Collegiate Beach National Championships!
31 auto-bids have been given out to 27 teams. These four teams have received 2 bids for this year’s event.
Remaining auto-bids will be announced in the coming weeks, and 30 bids will be given out during ten qualifiers. Three teams will receive at-large bids, making the total of 64 pairs for this year’s event.
The AVCA is proud to name its 2026 Junior Beach All-Americans. This year’s honorees include 24 athletes, with eight on each of the first, second, and honorable mention teams.
Coaches 4 Coaches is available to all coaches who would be attending their FIRST AVCA Convention in San Antonio. This scholarship covers receipient’s Pre-Convention Seminar and Full Convention registration as well as hotel lodging.
Deadline for applications is 5:00 PM EST on October 15th.
T.E.A.M. Award
T.E.A.M. Award scholarships are available to coaches at all level regardless of attending previous conventions, though preference will be given to First Time Attendees. Recipients will receive Pre-Convention Seminar and Full Convention registration and up to 5-nights hotel stay.
Deadline for applications is 5:00 PM EST on October 5th.
Demonstrator Scholarship
The Demonstrator Scholarship is available to collegiate women’s indoor or beach players, preferably players who are interested in pursuing coaching as a career. Applicant’s Head Coach must be an AVCA member for the athlete to apply. Recipients receive Pre-Convention Seminar and Full Convention registration as well as hotel lodging, and will participate in 6-7 on court sessions. Recipients will be allowed to attend convention sessions when they are not assigned as a demonstrator.
