Jill Wilson, the associate women’s volleyball coach at LSU, is joining the AVCA Board of Directors.
She becomes the Assistant Coaches Representative, after being appointed to replace Zach Weinberg, who held the spot but recently became the head coach at Evansville. Based on Weinberg being in the middle of his three-year term, Wilson will serve on the Board through the end of 2025.
The 2024 season marked Wilson’s third back in Baton Rouge. The former Tiger volleyball player helped her alma mater return to the NCAA Championship in 2022, where the team beat Hawai‘i 3-1 in the first round.
This marks her second stint on the volleyball staff at LSU, as she served for 10 seasons under Fran Flory from 2007–17. In between her stints with the Tigers, she was the head coach at Virginia Tech for three seasons and the associate head coach at Ohio State for two seasons.
Effective immediately, Wilson joins the other 16 members of the AVCA Board, which includes a blend of elected representatives and appointed members.
