2026 AVCA Boys High School All-America Awards Announced
The AVCA announced its 19th annual High School All-America Teams for boys volleyball. The teams can include non-seniors and only players whose high school head coaches are AVCA members were eligible for nomination. There are 14 players on the first team, 14 on the second team, and 24 honorable mention selections. This year’s group of 52 student-athletes are from 35 high schools in 16 different states.

Greg Snyder Named AVCA Coach of the Year for Boys High School
Greg Snyder completed his third year as head coach at Mira Costa High School in 2026 and achieved back-to-back CIF DI State Titles and back-to-back USA Today / AVCA Super 25 National Championships. Mira Costa finished with a 37-2 record and a fourteen match winning.
The AVCA will once again host two recruiting panels at AAU Nationals in Orlando. Panels will be hosted at 2pm ET in OCCC North 330 on Sunday, July 5 and Wednesday, July 8.
2026 AVCA Team Academic Award Nomination Accepted Through June 30
In order for a team to earn the 2026 AVCA Team Academic Award, the entire team must achieve a minimum TEAM cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.30 (on a 4.00 scale), a 4.10 (on a 5.00 scale) or an 82.0 (on a 100-point scale) during the entire 2025-2026 academic year.

US Men Move to 2-0 in Pan Am Cup with Win over Venezuela
The U.S. Men’s U21 National Team moved to 2-0 at the 2026 U21 Pan American Cup with a 3-1 (22-25, 25-12, 25-15, 25-19) win over Venezuela on Wednesday in Guatemala City, Guatemala.
The U.S. Men’s Sitting National Team won gold after posting a 5-1 mark at the 2026 Dutch Tournament in Assen, Netherlands after splitting two matches on Sunday. The U.S. dropped a five-setter to Germany, 3-2 (26-24, 20-25, 25-13, 18-25, 15-11) before defeating Kazakhstan, 3-1 (27-25, 25-18, 10-25, 25-19).
USA Volleyball set to host the Men’s Beach Collegiate Challenge with two premier events — one on the East Coast and one on the West Coast — representing the organization’s first coast-to-coast staging of the competition.
The 2026 edition moves the event to two vibrant beach volleyball hubs – Manhattan Beach, California, and Dania Beach, Florida.
The East Coast Challenge moves from Stevenson University in Maryland to the Rita Crockett Beach Sports Academy in Florida, Sept.
25-27, while the West Coast Challenge will be on the south side of the Manhattan Beach Pier, Oct.
9-11. Registration for both events is now open.
University of the Redlands (DIII) Adds Men’s Program
