Lourdes University recently announced the university will close at the end of the 2025056 academic school year. Lourdes currently sponsors men’s and women’s volleyball in the NAIA.

2026 Spring Volleyball Officials Appreciation Week
2026 AVCA Spring Volleyball Officials Appreciation Week is coming March 20–28, 2026! Join us in celebrating the dedicated boys, men’s, beach, club, and pro volleyball officials who keep our sport fair, safe and competitive.
Senior athletes will be added to AVCA Boys High School All-America Watch List. Non-senior high school athletes will be featured on the AVCA High Risers List. Both lists are set to be published in March and continue to be updated throughout the spring.
Mark Pavlik on Latest MasterCoaches Weekly Buzz Show
The show centered on an interview with retiring Penn State men’s volleyball coach Mark Pavlik discussing his career legacy, program succession, and the current competitive landscape of men’s college volleyball. The coaches expressed concerns about challenges facing the sport including lack of media coverage, administrative support, declining Division I programs, and the need for coaches to be more proactive in promoting and growing their programs.
Matt Fuerbringer Named USAV Men’s Beach National Team Head Coach
USA Volleyball has named Matt Fuerbringer as head coach of the U.S. Men’s Beach National Team, marking the first head coaching appointment under the organization’s newly redesigned Beach Performance Collective and unified training model.
Roster for 2026 Boys NTDP Spring Training Announced
USA Volleyball is hosting the 2026 Boys Indoor NTDP Spring Training Series from Thursday, February 26-Sunday, March 1 at the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs. A total of 120 elite athletes from 20 different states will participate in this high-performance training opportunity.
Seven legendary athletes will be inducted into the 2026 USA Volleyball Hall of Fame during the annual ceremony at the Dorothy C. Boyce Banquet on May 20. ON the men’s side, honorees will include Riley Salmon, Dave Saunders, and Phil Dalhausser.
