Boys High School Volleyball Checks In at Just Under 100,000
The NFHS recently published its 2026 participation numbers from the most recent high school academic school year. Boys volleyball participation continues to go up checking in at 98,395 participants, up from 95,972 from last year. Over the past 10 years, boys volleyball continues to be the fastest growing boys team sport with a 77.55% increase.

The U.S. Men’s National Team completed its August sweep of gold medals with an incredible performance in the gold medal match at the 2026 NORCECA Final Six in Ponce, Puerto Rico. The U.S. defeated Canada, 3-0 (25-15, 25-18, 25-21) on Saturday night to win the NORCECA Final Six after capturing the NORCECA Pan American Cup earlier this month.
14 Athletes Named to the 2026 U23 Pan American Cup Roster
USA Volleyball has announced the 14 athletes on the Men’s U23 National Team who will compete at the NORCECA U23 Pan American Cup, Sept. 20-28, in San Salvador, El Salvador. The team was chosen after a training block at the Olympic and Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs.
USA Volleyball set to host the Men’s Beach Collegiate Challenge with two premier events — one on the East Coast and one on the West Coast — representing the organization’s first coast-to-coast staging of the competition.
The 2026 edition moves the event to two vibrant beach volleyball hubs – Manhattan Beach, California, and Dania Beach, Florida.
The East Coast Challenge moves from Stevenson University in Maryland to the Rita Crockett Beach Sports Academy in Florida, Sept.
25-27, while the West Coast Challenge will be on the south side of the Manhattan Beach Pier, Oct.
9-11. Registration for both events is now open.
