Indiana Wesleyan (NAIA) Adds Men’s Volleyball
Indiana Wesleyan Athletics is excited to announce the addition of Men’s Volleyball as the university’s 24th varsity sport. IWU will offer athletic scholarships and compete at the highest level within the NAIA, with recruiting set to begin immediately.

Father and Son Honored by the 2025 AVCA Club Award Winners Announced
The AVCA announced the AVCA Club Awards for the 2024-25 season. The awards, now in its 10th year, recognizes deserving coaches and club directors in the youth/club volleyball community. Congratulations to Michael Boehle and his son Parker Boehle on their successes at MB Surf this past year! Michael is the AVCA Boys Director of the Year and Michael is the Boys Club Coach of the Year.
The 2025 AVCA Boys Showcase will take place at the Kansas City Convention Center in Kansas City, Missouri on Saturday, December 20. The cost $99 per athlete prior to Friday, November 21.
For an additional $25, athletes can take part in the AVCA Boys Showcase Clinic in the evening on Friday, December 19 at the convention center. Registered athletes will have a chance to learn and develop their skills with the guidance of elite men’s college coaches from across the country.
Some Oregon School Districts Refuse to Add Boys Volleyball
When it launches in the spring of 2026, boys volleyball in Oregon will be missing many notable Oregon schools. Athletic Directors in some of the largest school districts in Portland, Beaverton, Eugene, and others are sighting budget reasons for not adding.
Led by senior Lucas Helle, the Dorman boys squad continued its dominance with a Tuesday night win over Boiling Springs (in straight sets) to qualify for another state championship match.
The Cavaliers chase a fourth straight state title Saturday at 1pm vs. Carolina Forest at Columbia’s AC Flora High School.
The Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association’s (WIAA) 2025 State Boys + Girls Volleyball Championships will be played Friday, Nov. 7, and Saturday, Nov. 8.
Seventeen athletes have been selected for the 2025 U.S. Boys U17 National Team that will train for the 2025 NORCECA Boys U17 Continental Championship, set for November 18-23 in Managua, Nicaragua.
From this group, 12 athletes will be chosen to represent the United States on the final competition roster in Managua.
The U.S. Men’s Sitting National Team finished in fourth place at the 2025 World Cup with a 3-1 (25-23, 25-18, 15-25, 25-23) loss to Kazakhstan at the Turnstone Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
The U.S., ranked eighth in the world, finished the tournament 5-3. Kazakhstan is ranked seventh and won the bronze with a 7-1 record.
