The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) is proud to announce that Huntsville, Alabama, will be the site of the AVCA Beach National Championships. The championships will feature a women’s pairs national championship and a men’s team national championship. The women’s tournament will consist of 64 pairs selected from college beach teams across the country. The men’s event will bring four schools to Huntsville to compete for the first men’s collegiate beach team national championship.

Select matches from the 2025 AVCA Collegiate Beach Pairs and Men’s Team National Championships will be available via ESPN+ and AVCA YouTube. ESPN+ will feature six key matches from Court 1 on Saturday and Sunday. All other Saturday and Sunday matches on Courts 1 & 2 will stream live on AVCA’s YouTube channel.
The Facility
The beach volleyball complex is a 428-acre site in the heart of the city located at John Hunt Park, 2295 Airport Road SW, Huntsville. This beautiful state of the art 15-court facility was built in 2019 with a focus on athlete safety and experience as a main focus. That key attribute was combined with an eye toward amenities that lends itself to premier beach volleyball competitions.

If the event does face inclement weather, we have the flexibility to quickly and easily adjust by utilizing additional courts or playing in the evening under LED lights.

Women’s Pairs Championship | November 7-9, 2025
The 2025 AVCA Collegiate Beach Pairs National Championship is a landmark event in collegiate beach volleyball, bringing together the nation’s top talent for a fall-season showdown in Huntsville, Alabama. In partnership with Rally Volleyball, the City of Huntsville, and the Huntsville Sports Commission, this championship builds on the success of the inaugural event held in 2022.
This year, 64 pairs from 42 NCAA Division I and II schools will compete in a full bracket format played to place, culminating in the crowning of the 2025 national champion. The three-day competition highlights the best collegiate beach volleyball athletes, with bids awarded based on performance during the 2025 spring season.
The women’s pairs championship will be held alongside the Men’s Collegiate Beach Team National Championship, creating an exciting and inclusive environment for fans and athletes alike.
This event was made possible by NCAA legislation passed in May 2022, which allows multi-day competitions for women’s beach volleyball during the fall non-championship season. With nearly 100 NCAA institutions sponsoring the sport and over 1,000 year-round athletes, the 2025 championship offers a competitive experience that mirrors other collegiate sports.

Men’s Team Championships | November 8-9, 2025
Held alongside the AVCA Women’s Pairs National Championship, the 2025 Men’s Collegiate Beach Team National Championship features four top collegiate teams competing in a dual format over two days in Huntsville, Alabama. This event highlights the growing momentum of men’s beach volleyball at the collegiate level and provides a competitive platform for emerging programs to showcase their talent on a national stage.
