2021-2025 The 5 Most Successful Years of Youth Development Results in US History – What did we learn? (Presented by USA Volleyball Indoor NTDP)
In 2021, USA Volleyball made a bold decision to reorganize its youth development system as the National Team Development Program with the goal of creating a more holistic and athlete centered program aiming to identify, recruit and accelerate the development of high-potential junior volleyball athletes and achieving sustained international competitive excellence.
From the summer of 2021 through 2025 USA Volleyball athletes, coaches and staff achieved the most successful 5-year span of youth development results in USA history. This presentation will share key adjustments and learnings from our many successes and failures during the initial two full age group national team cycles of youth development.
What learnings are transferrable to the launch or rebrand of any high school, collegiate or youth club volleyball program.
