Design, Organize, and Execute (DOE): A Practical Application of Movement and Fundamental Skills Using the Nelson Methodology for Ages 11 and Under

This session is designed for coaches who train athletes ages 11 and under. Using the DOE™ (Design, Organize, and Execute™) framework in combination with the Nelson Methodology, coaches will learn how to develop fun, effective, and age-appropriate training sessions that emphasize movement, engagement, and fundamental skill development.

Participants will discover practical ways to keep young players motivated while teaching the core skills of passing, serving, hitting, and ball control through purposeful, progression-based activities. The presentation highlights how to design drills that adapt to players’ physical and cognitive stages, ensuring every athlete experiences success and growth.

Through real examples and hands-on applications, attendees will gain tools to build confidence, coordination, and consistency in their players—laying the foundation for long-term development and a lifelong love of the game.
