Watch as St. James Academy (KS) Girls Volleyball Head Coach Nancy Dorsey showcases two of her team’s favorite fast-paced drills: “Hyperventilate” and “12 Equals 50.”

• “Hyperventilate” trains athletes to chase down tough balls and pop them up with urgency.
• “12 Equals 50” is a high-energy, ball skill and cooperative drill where players aim to complete 50 attack combos using just 12 balls—emphasizing teamwork, aggressive style play, and fun.

Coach Dorsey, a former University of Kansas standout and co-founder of the St. James volleyball program, has led her teams to win numerous state titles and earn national recognition including two PrepVolleyball.com National Championships. Her coaching career is packed with highlights, including being named AVCA National Coach of the Year, All-USA Coach of the Year, and induction into the Kansas Volleyball Association Hall of Fame.
