The Equalizer: AI Tools for Every Volleyball Program

Not every program has a full staff, advanced technology, or unlimited resources—but every coach faces the same demands: film breakdown, practice planning, recruiting, scheduling, and athlete development. This session demonstrates how artificial intelligence can act as your “assistant coach,” helping high school, club, DIII, DII, and even under-staffed DI programs save time, streamline operations, and unlock new opportunities. With real examples of free and low-cost AI applications, attendees will learn how to maximize their impact, reclaim their time, and level the playing field against larger, better-funded programs.

By the end of this session, coaches will be able to:

  • Identify practical AI tools that support film study, scouting, communication, practice planning, and recruiting in volleyball.
  • Apply low-cost or no-cost AI workflows to save time and reduce the administrative burden on coaches with limited staff.

  • Recognize how AI can “equalize” competition by giving under-resourced programs access to tools once reserved for elite teams.
