Training with Intent: Creating Purpose Behind Every Touch in the Gym

Our 2025 men's season was the best since 2011. We had a 12 win season (most wins since 2011) and made the NEVC playoffs (first post season berth since 2011).

We had the rookie of the year for the NEVC (Ansel Waisler) and first team all conference (ended the season with 400 kills). Sidney Stein was awarded Second team all conference (ended the season with 338 kills) …and both did NOT play club volleyball.

How did we develop them and the team throughout the non traditional and traditional seasons?

We will use some video breakdown of some of our non traditional and traditonal practices and sample practice plans that go in depth of how we like to train in our gym and what worked for us. Examples will include longer non traditional practice plans and some with shorter practice times as well. We will cover how to be efficient and creative when in season; and how to maximize your touches in non traditional. Our overall goal of this session is to show how empowering your student athletes in a practice setting will increase confidence and IQ in your gym.
