AVCA & SoloSports Technologies tested 100 two-year college volleyball players on Friday, August 22, 2014 during the tourney at Iowa Western Community College. Colleges represented were IWCC, Polk State, Western Nebraska, Cowley, Barton County, Central CC (NE), Johnson County, and Jefferson CC. Two players, one from Western Nebraska and one from Polk State scored over 600 putting them in the top 2.2% of volleyball players tested so far. 45 of the players (45%) had over a 500 avcaVPI™. In our research with prospect age players we have found that those scoring over 500 are most likely to appear on college rosters after they graduate from high school. The high numbers of >500 players on the two-year college rosters speak favorably to the level of athleticism of these teams and the likelihood that many of these players will continue their careers at four-year colleges if they are so inclined. For more information on the avcaVPI™ go to www.avca.org and click on the avcaVPI™ tab at the top of the page.
