Each fall prior to the start of the girls volleyball season, the Alabama Volleyball Coaches Association (AHSVCA) recognizes the AHSVCA Pre-Season Players to Watch List. Players recognized on Watch List were nominated by AHSVCA active member varsity head coaches.

AHSVCA/AVCA membership is required to nominate & receive AHSVCA & AVCA awards.
AHSVCA Watch List Announcement
AUGUST 17, 2026 (MONTGOMERY, AL) - The Alabama High School Volleyball Coaches Association (AHSVCA) is pleased to announce its 2026-27 AHSVCA Preseason Student-Athletes to Watch List. This year's Watch List honors student-athletes from high schools throughout the state.
The Preseason Watch List sets the stage for the AHSVCA All-State and Player of the Year awards programs named later this fall.
Watch List Certificates are available from the AVCA Certificate Database.

Nominate: 2026 AHSVCA Watch List
Nominations were open for the 2026-27 AHSVCA Preseason Players to Watch List from July 27, to August 9 (EXTENDED DEADLINE).
- Each AHSVCA/AVCA member coach can nominate UP TO FOUR (4) eligible student-athletes
- Freshmen, Sophomore, Junior, and Senior Alabama high school athletes are eligible
- Coaches MUST be a AHSVCA/AVCA active member to nominate.
