The AVCA narrowed down the field for its 2024 Division I Player of the Year Award, presented by Nike, and announced the four finalists on Dec. 17. These four players stood above the rest with their outstanding play all season long, helping their teams rank among the nation’s elite.

Olivia Babcock, University of Pittsburgh
Brooklyn DeLeye, University of Kentucky
Sarah Franklin, University of Wisconsin
Lexi Rodriguez, University of Nebraska

Babcock was announced as the 2024 AVCA Player of the Year, and she received her award Dec. 20 at the AVCA Convention in Louisville, KY, as part of the 2024 AVCA Pro Volleyball Federation All-American/Players of the Year Banquet, presented by Nike.

 

The process began in September when the AVCA debuted the first-ever Player of the Year Watch List of 36 players. The committee added 16 players in mid-October, and then the list was pared back to a group of 14 semifinalists in mid-November.

The 2024 AVCA Division I Player of the Year Award is presented by Nike.
