The NCAA Woman of the Year Selection Committee has announced the list of its 2025 award finalists, which includes 10 student-athletes from Division I, Division II, and Division III. Three volleyball players are in the group of the 30 finalists:
Kimberly DeBoer, San Francisco State (DII) – AVCA Second-Team All-American (2024)
Teagan Starkey, Concordia-St. Paul (DII) – AVCA First-Team All-American (2022, 2023, and 2024)
Ellie Jones, Belhaven (DIII)
Established in 1991, the NCAA Woman of the Year award is rooted in Title IX and recognizes female student-athletes who have completed their undergraduate studies and distinguished themselves in their community, in athletics, and in academics throughout their college careers. Each of the 30 finalists has demonstrated excellence in academics, athletics, community service and leadership. The honorees competed in a total of 14 NCAA championship sports and two NCAA Emerging Sports for Women.
The 2025 NCAA Woman of the Year will be announced this fall and recognized at the NCAA Convention in January 2026.
