AUGUST 17, 2026 (MONTGOMERY, AL) – The Alabama High School Volleyball Coaches Association (AHSVCA) is pleased to announce its 2026-27 AHSVCA Preseason Student-Athletes to Watch List. This year’s Watch List honors 313 student-athletes from high schools throughout the state.
The Preseason Watch List sets the stage for the AHSVCA All-State and Player of the Year awards programs named later this fall.
Mark your calendar, 2026-27 AHSVCA All-State and Coach of the Year nominations open September 28. AHSVCA/AVCA Membership is required to participate in these awards.

2026-27 AHSVCA Awards Timeline
- August 17, 2026: Preseason Watch List Announcement
- Sept. 28 – Oct. 9, 2026: All-State & Coach of the Year Nominations
- October 14-21, 2026: All-State & Coach of the Year Voting
- November 2, 2026: All-State, Player of the Year & Coach of the Year Announcement
- April 5-16, 2027: Hall of Fame Nominations
- June 1, 2027: Hall of Fame Announcement
- July 2027: Hall of Fame Induction
