Two iconic coaches in the sport of volleyball, Dave Shondell of Purdue and Georgia Tech’s Michelle Collier, have been named as the head coaches for the teams at the inaugural Pro Volleyball Federation All-Star Match. The event is slated for February 22 in Indianapolis and will be broadcast nationally by CBS. Check out team rosters here.

Held February 14-16, the LOVB Classic is an in-season tournament taking place in Kansas City, Missouri in conjunction with the Triple Crown NIT junior volleyball tournament. Get tickets here!

NCAA Division I

Florida women’s volleyball coach Mary Wise announced her retirement after a 34-year tenure in Gainesville during which she led the Gators to the NCAA tournament every season. Wise led the Gators to eight Final Fours, two national runner-up finishes and a record 25 Southeastern Conference championships. Wise has 1,068 career wins, fourth-most in NCAA Division I history and the all-time winningest female coach in Division I. She spent four years at Iowa State (1981-84) — at 21, she became the youngest head coach in Division I history at the time — before joining Kentucky as an assistant. Wise took over at Florida in 1991.

Marshall Athletics announced that current Assistant Heather Stout will take over as Head Coach of the Volleyball Program.

The University at Buffalo and Women’s Volleyball Head Coach Scott Smith have agreed to a multiyear contract extension through 2028.

NCAA Division II

West Texas A&M has announced the hiring of three-time National Champion and NJCAA Hall of Famer Terry Gamble as the Lady Buff head volleyball coach.

Young Harris College announced the hiring of Ginny Howard as the Head Coach for the women’s volleyball program.

St. Edward’s Athletics welcomes Jeremy Garcia back to Texas as the Hilltoppers’ new head volleyball coach.

Lander University Athletics is excited to announce the promotion of Kathryn Settle as the new Head Volleyball Coach.

Bemidji State University announced  that Erika Bute has been named the 15th head coach of the Volleyball program.

NCAA Division III

Johns Hopkins announced the hiring of Bayleigh Braswell as the University’s head women’s volleyball coach.

Simpson College Athletics has announced that Dani Kohut Lynch will now oversee both programs as the director of volleyball, retaining duties as head coach of the women’s program. Ike Papes joins the Storm staff as head coach of the men’s team.

USA Volleyball

Tayyiba Haneef-Park, Mike Wall and Brandon Taliaferro will join new head coach Erik Sullivan to guide the U.S. Women’s National Team on its journey to the LA 2028 Olympics.
