The University of Texas and Head Volleyball Coach Jerritt Elliott have agreed on a four-year contract extension. He completed his 23rd season at Texas last fall, has won three National Championships (2012, 2022, 2023) and led the Longhorns to the Final Four in eight of the last 12 seasons. Elliott’s title will now be Director of Volleyball & Head Volleyball Coach.
Matt Houk, who recently completed his first year at the helm of the Montana State volleyball program, has signed a new four-year contract. Houk guided the Bobcats to a school record 24 victories and a second-place finish in the Big Sky Conference. Montana State also played in its first postseason national tournament and advanced to the Fab Four of the National Invitational Volleyball Championship.
A Steve Kerr [NBA Warriors’ head coach] lookalike went viral attending the game against the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday. Turns out, he’s a volleyball coach and club director – also named Steve! Read more about Steve Gillis (in blue).
