Volleyball News
Fans, followers and future players will be able to watch full pick-by-pick coverage as the 2024 Pro Volleyball Federation draft will be broadcast live and exclusively via the league’s official YouTube Channel on Monday, November 25 at noon ET.
Pro Volleyball Federation (PVF) has announced a multi-year extension with CBS Sports. In 2025, CBS Sports Network will air up to 20 matches, featuring the PVF semifinals and final matches. Additionally, one PVF match will be broadcast on the CBS Television Network, marking the first time a professional volleyball match will be broadcast on national over-the-air television.
FIVB World Congress elects new leadership as exciting era dawns for volleyball: Fabio Azevedo was elected as FIVB President, while Hugh McCutcheon has been appointed as FIVB Secretary General.
Sports Business Journal: Connor Sports, Sport Court and Taraflex and the NCAA have extended their deal as the flooring providers for the men’s and women’s NCAA basketball tournaments and the men’s and women’s volleyball championship for DI, DII and DIII.
The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) is proud to announce the 19th annual AVCA Girls High School All-America Teams. Twenty-five athletes were named to the AVCA All-America First Team, forty-eight were named to the Second and Third Teams, and 120 athletes were named Honorable Mention All-America. For the first time ever, All-America nominations were opened up to underclassmen.

2024 AVCA Boys Talent Showcase: Final Week for Early Bird Registration – Prices increase after Friday, November 22!
The AVCA Boys Talent Showcase is a recruiting event designed to provide high school boys the opportunity to showcase their skills in front of the collegiate coaches that are planning to attend the AVCA Convention. The AVCA will also be offering an athlete skills clinic. The 2024 AVCA Boys Showcase will take place at the Kentucky International Convention Center in Louisville, Kentucky on Saturday, December 21, and the optional add-on AVCA Boys Showcase Clinic is the evening of Friday, December 20.
Slippery Rock University head women’s volleyball coach Laurie Lokash has announced she will retire from the University. Lokash served as head coach for 40 seasons and became the all-time coaching wins leader in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference history during her tenure.
Queensborough Community College head women’s volleyball coach Jason Demas has announced that he is retiring from coaching duties. Demas has served as head coach of the Tigers since the 2010 season. During his tenure as head coach, Demas recorded an overall record of 280-94.
