AVCA Hall of Fame Class of 2024
The American Volleyball Coaches Association is pleased to announce its 2024 Hall of Fame class: Barry Goldberg, Kathy Gregory, Hugh McCutcheon, and Joe Sagula.
These four legendary volleyball coaches, who have made significant contributions to the sport across their careers, bring the number of members of the AVCA Hall of Fame to 101. This year’s induction ceremony will take place Thursday, Dec. 19, during the 2024 AVCA Convention in Louisville, Kentucky.
Athletes Unlimited Pro Volleyball is back! Season Four continues through November 4, with 44 of the world’s best volleyball players on the court in Mesa, Arizona. Watch live on ESPN, VBTV, and Bally Sports networks. Following the completion of the season, all matches will be added to the Athletes Unlimited YouTube channel.
Twelve U.S. volleyball athletes were among the more than 400 2024 Olympians and Paralympians who were honored at the White House on Monday. Sitting Volleyball gold medalist Nicky Nieves, who served as one of the U.S. flag bearers at the 2024 Paralympic Games, presented President Biden with a special jacket.

AVCA Girls & Women’s Volleyball Officials Appreciation Week Recap Over 665 participants in 47 states took part in a record-setting 2024 AVCA Girls and Women’s Volleyball #OFFICIATIONWEEK! This year’s participation tops the previous record of 600 participants in 44 states set in 2023. The final number of participants will be released soon. #OFFICIATIONWEEK and the new #InspireSportsmanship campaign demonstrate the AVCA’s and the volleyball community’s leadership in demonstrating respect and appreciation for officials and good sportsmanship.
Voting for AVCA President-Elect, National Collegiate (NCAA D-I/II) Men, NCAA D-III Men, High School, and Club Volleyball Representatives positions on the AVCA Board of Directors will be conducted October 22-25. Interested candidates must contact kennedy.wells@avca.org

2024 AVCA Phenom College Prep Program Registration
Coaches and parents: check your inbox for your registration link, sent Sept. 25!The AVCA Phenom College Prep Program is an invitation-only event for uncommitted girls volleyball athletes (seniors on the AVCA All-American Watch List and uncommitted underclassmen on the AVCA Phenom List).
The AVCA Boys Talent Showcase is a recruiting event designed to provide high school boys the opportunity to showcase their skills in front of the collegiate coaches attending the AVCA Convention. The 2024 AVCA Boys Showcase will take place at the Kentucky International Convention Center in Louisville, Kentucky on Saturday, December 21, and the optional add-on AVCA Boys Showcase Clinic is the evening of Friday, December 20.
