Division III All-Americans and Freshman of the Year will be announced November 28. Coach and Assistant Coach of the Year will be announced November. 29. Division III Player of the Year will be announced November 30.
The AVCA is proud to announce its 2023 All-America teams for NCCAA Division II volleyball! There are two seven-member NCCAA All-America teams, a first team and a second team, and the 14 student-athletes chosen in 2023 represent nine different schools.

Congrats to the latest NJCAA Champions – Florida SouthWestern (DI) and Cowley (DII)! The FSW Buccaneers claimed their second-straight NJCAA Division I national volleyball title by beating rival Miami Dade in four sets—19-25, 25-16, 25-19, 25-18. The Division II Champion Cowley Tigers emerged victorious over Scottsdale in a five-set thriller (25-9, 23-25, 25-18, 18-25, 18-16) in a battle of unbeaten teams.
College Coaches: RSVP for the 2023 AVCA Phenom College Prep Program Showcase!The Showcase will be held on Saturday, Dec. 16 in the Tampa Convention Center West Hall. The Showcase is only open to current collegiate coaches who are registered for Convention. New this year, we are partnering with University Athlete: player contact information, wave assignments, avcaVPI™ and physical metrics data, TAP Behavioral Assessment results, etc. will be all available on the University Athlete platform.
The new USMC/AVCA Battles Won Award recognizes players and coaches who are overcoming obstacles. The AVCA is presenting the stories of 12 individuals — this week we feature Chris Wakefield and Jasy Donald — who have faced hardships and come back strong. At the AVCA Convention in Tampa this December, one player and one coach will be presented with the 2023 USMC/AVCA Battles Won Award.
UCF becomes yet another school to set a WVB attendance record this season! On Senior Night, the Knights had 1,787 on hand for their match with defending national champion Texas.

Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD) is a sports development model that focuses on the physical, cognitive, and emotional development of athletes over a prolonged period of time. The goal of LTAD is to promote lifelong physical activity and athletic performance while reducing the risk of injury and burnout. Free for AVCA members who register in advance!
The AVCA Boys Talent Showcase is a recruiting event designed to provide high school boys the opportunity to showcase their skills in front of the collegiate coaches that attend the AVCA Convention in Tampa, Florida. The cost $99 per athlete. Athletes that choose to register will participate in the talent showcase on Saturday, December 16, complete athletics metric testing, and receive insight into the collegiate recruiting process and tips to improve their visibility. The MasterCoaches College Transfer Showcase is a recruiting event open to uncommitted college student-athletes who have officially entered the NCAA Transfer Portal, junior college transfers who have completed their two years of eligibility, as well as NAIA and international athletes. The Chitown Boys Challenge Makes Boys Volleyball History
In 2021 the JVA and AAU teamed up to create three new boys events as part of the JVA AAU Boys Volleyball Tournament Series to launch in the 2022-2023 season. The first event in the series, the 2022 Chitown Boys Challenge, was a huge success, hosting 484 teams from coast to coast at the McCormick Place for a competitive three days of competition. The positive experience spread quickly through the volleyball community, leading to a surge in registrations for 2023. Within the first week of registration, the event had already surpassed the number of teams registered in 2022. Read more.
