The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) is proud to announce 1,390 student-athletes for the AVCA Best and Brightest Awards for Girls High School Senior student-athletes. The AVCA Best & Brightest Award is an award meant to honor individual high school Senior student-athletes who excel on and off the court. To be eligible for the Best and Brightest Award, Senior student-athletes must have earned at least a 3.5 Unweighted/4.0 Weighted GPA (or the equivalent, if using a different GPA scale) during their junior year AND play in 50% of their varsity team’s sets during their senior season.
Thank you to the 754 participants in 47 states took part in a record-setting 2024 AVCA Girls and Women’s Volleyball #OFFICIATIONWEEK! This year’s participation tops the previous record of 600 participants in 44 states set in 2023. Thank you to all who participated – elementary, middle & high school; beach; club; boys; NCAA DI-II-III; NAIA; and Two-Year Colleges.

STAY TUNED! The 2024-25 Alabama High School Volleyball Coaches Association (AHVCA) All-State, Player of the Year and Coach of the Year awards will be announced on Monday, November 4. Awards will be selected by class.

The Kentucky Volleyball Coaches Association (KVCA) is proud to announce its seventeenth annual Region Players and Region Coaches of the Year. All recipients will be honored at the 2024 KHSAA State Tournament at George Rogers Clark High School in Winchester during ceremonies between the semi-final matches on November 9.
The Nebraska School Athletics Association (NSAA) State Volleyball Championships will be held November 6-9, at the Pinnacle Bank Arena & Lincoln North Star.

The North Carolina Volleyball Coaches Association (NCVBCA) named a record 196 student-athletes to the 2024-25 NCVBCA All-Region Teams. The award recognizes players from NCHSAA schools for extraordinary volleyball play who had previously received some other form of recognition, such as being on the 2024-25 NCVBCA Watch List.
To amplify this initiative and the support of Taraflex®, the AVCA is announcing the winner of a bonus engagement opportunity for one of the membership scholarship recipients. This year’s winner is Coach Meredith Heater, head boys’ volleyball coach at Ryle High School in Union, Kentucky. With the 2024 AVCA Convention in Louisville, we wanted to take the opportunity to further engage a local area coach in our celebration of volleyball in December. Coach Heater will receive a complimentary Weekend Convention Registration package and a ticket to the NCAA D-I Women’s Volleyball Championship.

Yesterday, the AVCA announced its 2024 recipients of the Diversity Awards, Coaches 4 Coaches Program, and Demonstrator Scholarships. Through those three programs, 83 individuals will get to experience the AVCA Convention for free.
