LEXINGTON, KENTUCKY (July 2, 2024) — The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Board of Directors and staff are dedicated to supporting our community of coaches by offering curated events, recognition opportunities, coaching education content, industry resources, and alliances – all designed to help you grow as a coach, mentor, and leader.
As we embark on the 2024-25 season, our sport is experiencing tremendous momentum. The upcoming AVCA First Serve Showcase exemplifies our commitment to advancing the sport of volleyball at all levels and across all disciplines.
As we approach the midway point of the AVCA’s fifth decade, it is essential to provide timely and relevant services and programming that enhance your development as a volleyball coach and leader. A significant aspect of the AVCA’s value lies in our ability to adapt and innovate.
To support the Association’s vision and the continued evolution of the AVCA, the Board of Directors has unanimously approved a budget that includes a restructuring of our membership categories and dues structure for individual and organizational/institutional members (see table). This restructuring will result in new and modified member categories.
One component of our membership restructuring has already been implemented. Effective October 31, 2023, member expiration dates aligned with the end-of-month expiration dates, at which point the member status will become EXPIRED. Members will remain in EXPIRED status with minimal access to the website and services for up to one year, after which they will transition to FORMER member status with no AVCA member benefits.
The last dues adjustment occurred on July 1, 2022. This new dues increase will enable the AVCA to continue adding value to our community of volleyball coaches.
