Melanie Parra of TCU is the AVCA/GameChanger Division I National Player of the Week, after being the tourney MVP as TCU went 3-0 at the Fight in the Fort Invitational. In the win against Florida State, she broke the school record for most kills in a four-set match with 34 and was one kill shy of tying the Big 12 mark. That outing came after she posted a then-career-high 27 kills in the win over Hawai‘i. For the week, the junior hit .394 and averaged 6.91 kills and 7.8 points per set. She is the second Horned Frog ever to be the National Player of the Week.
