NAIA Men’s Volleyball Coaches’ Top 15 Poll
The Master’s (Calif.) moved back into the No. 1 spot for the third time this season in the latest edition of the 2024 NAIA Men’s Volleyball Coaches’ Top 15 Rating. Only four teams remained at the same rank as the last rating: OUAZ (Ariz.), Menlo (Calif.), Jamestown (N.D.) and Lourdes (Ohio). Mount Mercy (Iowa) is new to the Top 15 this week. Updated on April 3.
2024 USA Today/AVCA Super 25 and Regional Polls
The latest USA Today/AVCA Boys High School Super 25 and Regional Rankings are updated weekly and determined by AVCA member coaches. Regions are determined by the AVCA.
Conference Tournaments are this weekend! FrogJump has developed a landing page to track the results of all of the tournaments. Brackets are updated with match scores from the night before while initial probabilities for every position remain for comparison.

The Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association will be welcoming back an old friend for the 2025 season. Sacred Heart has been approved for membership after a unanimous vote of conference coaches. The addition brings the EIVA membership to seven teams from the current six. Read the full press release.
Ron Shayka to be Enshrined in the EIVA Hall of Fame
The EIVA Hall of Fame will have one new member in 2024. Ron Shayka has been selected by the EIVA’s Hall of Fame Committee to take his place among the conference’s builders and best players. Shayka was an outside hitter for Penn State from 1978-81, a coach at a variety of levels, an administrator for nearly 40 years at George Mason and for eight years served as the EIVA’s President. He will be honored during the EIVA Championship Tournament, April 17-20, although he will be unable to attend the event in person. Read the full press release here.

The AVCA Boys All-America Watch List features high school senior athletes. The list serves as the starting point for the Boys’ High School Senior All-America selection process.
Colorado: Boys Volleyball Continues Growth, Fosters Special Connections
Boys volleyball for the Colorado High School Activities Association is one of the quickest growing sanctioned sports.
While for a long time, a lot of communities have been able to enjoy boys volleyball at a club level, more teams are now starting to create school programs, giving new athletes an opportunity to play a sport they’ve never been able to try before. Read the full article here.
Kansas: Boys Volleyball Growing in Popularity
When the Kansas City High School Boys Volleyball League was formed six years ago, the goal was to create awareness for the game and to eventually clear the way for boys on both sides of the state line to play varsity volleyball as a sanctioned sport.
Following five club seasons in Kansas City and decades of club contests in St. Louis, Missouri took the ultimate step earlier this week when boys volleyball teams from 75 schools tipped off the spring season under the guidance of the Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA).
Thanks to the leadership of Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas parishioners Erin Rodriguez, Nancy Dorsey, Mark Scheinkoenig and Susan Thrasher, boys volleyball in the Sunflower State may soon follow the example of its neighbor to the east. Read the full article.
Indiana: Boys Volleyball Teams Off and Running, Hoping for IHSAA Sanctioning Next Year
Boys volleyball now is in its second year as an Emerging Sport as classified by the IHSAA, and if things go according to plan, those in the volleyball community are hoping it can become a fully-sanctioned IHSAA sport next spring. Read the full article here.
Utah: High School Boys Volleyball Continues to Grow the Game
Men’s volleyball has long been dubbed the NCAA’s best-kept secret, and now it’s invaded the state of Utah.
Deep-rooted rivalries are being turned up one more notch with its addition to the high school level for boys. Many players, like Maple Mountain opposite hitter Trey Thornton, have already been dubbed by their coaches as the best at their positions in the entire state.

To join the Men’s Collegiate Beach Volleyball Alliance an active member coach of the AVCA must complete the registration information. The nominating coach serves as the official representative for all men’s collegiate beach activities at the college.

Our program centers on creating mentoring trios where these coaches serve as both mentors and mentees to create a collaborative learning experience. Applications are due by April 30. Twenty Selected for 2024 Boys U19 National Team
USA Volleyball is announcing the 20 players on the 2024 U.S. Boys U19 National Team.
The team will train May 3-11 in Anaheim, California. During that time, 12 athletes out of the 20 will be selected to represent the United States at the 2024 Boys U19 NORCECA Continental Championship on May 12-20 in Ponce, Puerto Rico.
Charlie Sullivan, men’s head coach at Springfield College, will serve as the U19 head coach with assistance from Pat Shawaryn of Penn State and Chris Seiffert of Concordia Irvine. Check out the members of the U19 USA Boys National Team.
Men’s Sitting Team Takes Silver at Paralympic Qualifier
The U.S. Men’s Sitting Team fell to Ukraine on Wednesday 3-0 (25-17, 32-30, 25-19) in the final of the 2024 World ParaVolley Sitting Volleyball Final Qualifier in Dali, China.
The U.S. Men’s second-place finish with a 6-2 record means that the team will not compete at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. Read the full match report.
The IU East athletic department has named Bruno Amorim da Silva as the first head coach in men’s volleyball program history on Monday.
Scott Reslow has been named Head Coach for the Men’s Volleyball program at Wheaton College (Mass.), it was announced today by Gavin Viano, Associate Vice President for Athletics & Strategic Programs.
