Boys High School Volleyball Participation Increased by Nearly 8,000!
The NFHS released their latest high school sport sponsorship and participation report for the 2023-24 high school year. Boys volleyball participation grew to 85,255, nearly 8,000 more than last year. Over the past five years, boys high school volleyball continues to be the fastest growing team sport by percentage in the country. Since 2005, boys volleyball has nearly doubled in participation. The U.S. Men’s National Team competing at the NORCECA Final Six held off a surge from Mexico to win 3-2 (26-24, 23-25, 19-25, 25-13, 15-11) on Wednesday in Gatineau, Quebec, Canada.
USA Volleyball is proud to announce the athletes who will represent the U.S. at the 2024 FIVB Beach Volleyball U19 World Championship, Aug. 27-Sept. 1, in Shangluo, China. Grant Lamoureux/Blake Goodwin will open in the boys main draw.
The 2024 Kevin Pratte Foundation KP’S Scholar Athlete and Civic Leadership contest is officially open. The foundation helps pay for the first club volleyball payment for the 2024-2025 season. Last year they had 50 applicants. The contest is currently open and will close on Sunday, August 25th. Please encourage all boys’ volleyball players in the 2025, 2026, and 2027 class to apply.
Registration is open for the 2024 Men’s Beach Collegiate Challenge on Sept. 13-15 at Stevenson University. Every participating athlete has the opportunity to be scouted through the Beach National Team Development Scouting Program.

Announced recently by Brooklyn College Director of Athletics, Erik Smiles, BC alum, Moaz Choudhary, has been named Head Coach for the BC Men’s Volleyball team.
Fernando Colon has been named the head men’s volleyball coach at Ramapo College announced today by Director of Athletics Jan Koslowsky. Colon becomes the 6th coach in program history.
The Mount Aloysius Athletic Department is excited to announce the hiring of Jillian Glover, as the next Head Coach of the Mountie Men’s Volleyball program. She will replace Logan Patterson, who led the program over the past two seasons.
Thomas More University Vice President and Director of Athletics Terry Connor has announced the hiring of head men’s volleyball coach Harris Boyes.
Bridgewater College Director of Athletics Curt Kendall has announced the hiring of Colton Frey as the College’s first men’s volleyball head coach—the next phase in the launch of the new sports team at BC.
Central Christian College of Kansas is excited to announce the hiring Martin Esquivel to take over as the Head Coach of the Men’s Volleyball program.
The Borough of Manhattan Community College Athletics Department is excited to announce the hiring of Vaughn Titusas its next head coach for the men’s and women’s volleyball programs
Widener’s Executive Director of Athletics and Recreation Jack Shafer has announced Andrew Lee to lead Men’s Volleyball for the upcoming season.
